Dear Saints,

If you are reading this then you are one of our treasured donors, foster, adopters or volunteers. Over the last year Save-An-Angel has grown by leaps and bounds, and it’s all because of your support! In 2016 SAA launched Operation Relocation. This innovative program allows SAA to transport 25 dogs every month from overcrowded shelters in New Orleans to our rescue partners up North. Once the dogs arrive to their new rescues they fly into loving forever homes! Our goal for 2018 is to save 400 dogs, and it’s totally possible with your help. TUESDAY MAY 2 IS GIVE NOLA DAY! A community giving day that allows non-profits to DOUBLE DONATIONS if enough funds are raised..

Over the last past year SAA has made countless miracles happen. Rosie received her bone marrow transplant; 16 dogs were saved from a hoarding situation and charges were pressed against the owners. Over 60 dogs were saved during the Baton Rouge Floods in 4 weeks, and we have successfully relocated 200 dogs to our rescue partners via Operation Relocation = 200 ADOPTIONS! (HUGE THANKS TO OUR AMAZING FOSTER FAMILIES!)

Operation Relocation is also giving SAA the opportunity to build valuable relationships with local rescues, allowing us to help them make space resulting in more lives saved. Thanks to this program, and your donations, we are making a bigger impact in our community than ever before! Please consider donating to Save-An-Angel on GIVE NOLA DAY to help us continue our important work in New Orleans and across the state.

Many of you know Angel, the dog that this organization is named after. This month she is celebrating 7 years CURED from lymphoma and her 13th birthday! This is just another wonderful testament to the amazing miracles that happen at Save-An-Angel everyday. We are so grateful to everyone who made Angel’s life and the thousand after her possible. Thank you for reading this, and for sharing with your friends. We are forever grateful for your kindness and support over the last 8 years!
