FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
-
Minimum Age & Weight: Pets must be at least 3 months old AND 3 pounds to receive surgery at our clinic.
-
Appointment Required: Spay and neuter surgeries are by appointment only and can be scheduled online. Surgery appointments are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
-
Deposit: A $30 non-refundable deposit is required to schedule your pet’s spay or neuter appointment. Deposits are applied to the balance of your invoice on the day of your pet's surgery. Your deposit will be forfeited if you cancel or no-show your appointment.
-
Cancelations: We require at least 48-hours notice for all cancelations. Following a cancellation with sufficient notice, we will happily reschedule your appointment one time without requiring an additional non-refundable deposit. After one reschedule, your deposit will be forfeited and you will be asked to prepay for all services to be able to schedule another appointment. In the event insufficient cancellation notice is provided or you no-call/no-show your scheduled appointment, you will forfeit your $30 non-refundable deposit and will be asked to prepay for all future services to be able to schedule another appointment. If you provide insufficient notice or no-call/no-show your appointment more than once, your prepaid balance will not be refunded and you will not be eligible for future services at our clinic.
-
Payment: We accept cash and credit/debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, and CareCredit. We also accept spay/neuter certificates issued by our Community Partners. Payment is due at time of service.
-
Cones/E-Collars: A plastic cone, also known as an e-collar, is included in all owned animal surgery packages and is required for use during the entire post-operative recovery period. The e-collar is intended to prevent licking, chewing, or scratching at the surgical site, which is critical to reducing the risk of infection, wound dehiscence, delayed healing, or other complications. The e-collar must be worn at all times unless otherwise expressly directed by the attending veterinarian. Failure to properly and consistently use the e-collar constitutes non-compliance with post-operative instructions, and the clinic is not responsible for any complications, injuries, additional treatment, or costs resulting from failure to follow these instructions.
-
Fasting: Do not feed your pet after midnight the night before surgery. Water is permitted, but no breakfast on the morning of surgery.
-
Drop-Off: Pets must be dropped off at 7:30 am on the morning of surgery. Please budget 30 to 45 minutes for the check-in process. Dogs must be on a secure leash. Cats must be brought in a carrier labeled with their name and your last name.
-
Pick-Up: Pets must be picked up at 4:00 pm the same day. Please budget 30 minutes for the check out process. We do not board patients overnight.
-
Current Rabies Vaccination: Pets must be current on their rabies vaccination, and a valid rabies certificate signed by the administering veterinarian (not a receipt) is required. If proof of vaccination is not provided by 8:00 am on the day of surgery, or if your pet is due, a rabies vaccine will be administered at the time of surgery for an additional $20.
-
Additional Fees May Apply: Additional fees may apply for surgical, medical, or behavioral conditions identified at the time of your pet’s procedure (such as pregnancy, pyometra, cryptorchidism, or special handling needs). Fees may also apply if your pet requires antibiotics, pain management, or other medications beyond our standard protocol. Other circumstances, including but not limited to extended surgical time or complications, may also result in additional costs.

Dog Spays - XL
(75.0 lbs. & Over)
⚠️ For the safety and well-being of pets, our clinic generally does not perform spay surgeries on female dogs weighing 75.0 lbs. or more. Since we are not a full-service veterinary hospital, we recommend that extra-large female dogs be spayed in a full-service setting where additional resources are available in the event of a medical emergency.
For these patients, we suggest contacting Ace of Spays in Austin.

All pricing is subject to change without notice.
The safety and well-being of every pet is our top priority. Due to the higher risks associated with anesthesia and surgery in certain breeds of cats, we are unable to perform spay or neuter procedures on the following breeds:
Abyssinian, Bambino, Bengal, Burmese, Chartreux , Devon Rex, Donskoy, Exotic Shorthair, Himalayan, & Sphynx
If your cat is one of these breeds, we recommend seeking care from a full-service veterinary hospital experienced in their specialized surgical and anesthetic needs. We appreciate your understanding and are happy to provide alternative resources if needed.
